MEET OUR TEAM
Woodbine Manor is run by our super efficient, wonderfully compassionate Care Manager, Deidre Johnson, who has joined Woodbine Manor to lead it in its quest for excellence in all areas. Dee has over twenty five years’ experience in care, including the role of both manager and district manager for award winning care homes and holds a Registered Managers Award. She has an NVQ4 in Management and is trained in many areas including Health & Social Care, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties.
Our outstanding care team are also dedicated and highly qualified; most have completed NVQ levels 2 or 3. Woodbine Manor is very much like a family, most of our team have been working here for many years and know each resident very well. We insist on a high standard of care, so our employees are carefully selected, full induction training is provided and continuing professional development is undertaken by each member of staff.
Attentive and compassionate carers are available twenty four hours a day. The high staff- resident ratio enables us to provide companionship and stimulation, as well as tending to your physical needs.
“ I am very pleased that my wife is being cared for in a safe and clean environment with a good standard of care.”
(Resident’s husband quoted 2014)
PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
At Woodbine Manor, we aim to provide an exceptionally high level of care and to ensure that you will be treated with utmost respect, your privacy protected and your dignity preserved. Our goal is to support individuality and independence and to encourage you to exercise choice in all aspects of your care.
The prime objective of our home is to promote and foster health and wellbeing. On your admission an assessment of need is performed by a senior member of the care team, from which a Care Plan is created. You, your relatives and doctors will be offered and encouraged to participate in the drafting of your Care Plan. A review is conducted monthly, unless changes in your condition necessitate more frequent reviews. When new residents join the home, we recommend that they remain with their own doctor, who is familiar with their health and history. Residents from outside the area are welcome to join our local doctors' practice. The District Nurse Team work alongside the GP and can be called on when necessary.
