Woodbine Manor Newsletter – March 2026

Welcome to this month’s newsletter

Warmer days are finally here, and many of us are heading back into the garden planting seedlings, preparing beds, and enjoying those first signs of new growth. It’s a bright, refreshing time of year, and we’re excited to share a little seasonal inspiration and a few updates with you. We are pleased to invite you to our next Residents and Families Meeting on Friday 10th April @11am. This meeting is a great opportunity to share updates, discuss any questions, and work together to continue providing the best possible care and community experience for our residents. We hope to see you there!

🌟What a fun month March has been! 🌟

This month has brought us so much joy, happiness, and laughter. We were delighted to welcome a new performer, Johnathan, who entertained us with his acoustic guitar and ukulele. His repertoire of classic sing-along tunes had everyone joining in and smiling.

Emily joined us for a luxurious manicure pampering session 💅✨ and made it even more special by gifting everyone a beautiful rose and chocolates .We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style 🍀 We made and wore our own leprechaun hats, sampled some Guinness, and finished it all off with a delicious whisky cake. Such a fun (and tasty) day!

Our new residents have arrived! 🐥💛Our hatching ducklings are finally here, and we’ve loved every moment nurturing them and watching them grow. From tiny fluffy bundles to curious little explorers, they’ve already filled our days with so much joy. We also had the pleasure of celebrating some very special birthdays. 4 of our wonderful residents and 3 amazing staff members! 🎂It was a joyful time filled with smiles, laughter, and a real sense of community. Wishing you all a fantastic year ahead!

🌟What’s happening in April 🌟

April is shaping up to be a wonderfully busy month, full of laughter, joy, and happiness. We’ll kick things off with a fun Easter egg hunt – fingers crossed for some sunshine so we can make the most of the garden!

Our popular gardening club returns on Thursday afternoons, perfect for getting back outdoors and enjoying the fresh air. We’re also excited to welcome the Gemini mobile fashion shop, offering a fantastic opportunity to browse the latest styles and get ready for spring and summer. There’s also a lovely trip planned to Haskins Garden Centre, along with visits from some of our ever popular performers so there’s plenty to look forward to throughout the month.

You asked, we delivered

We recently received feedback indicating that our lounge appeared somewhat dark and less homely than intended. In response, we have taken prompt action to enhance the space. The lounge has now been updated with bright, made-to-measure curtains, refreshed home furnishings, and elegant artificial blossom trees and plants. We are pleased to present a renewed spring/summer look that we believe is both welcoming and visually uplifting. We hope you will enjoy the improved atmosphere during your next visit.

Home Improvements

We have undertaken a range of home improvement projects in recent weeks. In addition to unveiling our refreshed spring/summer lounge complete with elegant new curtains and carefully selected home furnishings we have also redecorated several bedrooms, incorporating vibrant made-to-measure curtains and updated soft furnishings.

Outdoor preparations are now underway as well. The patios are being professionally pressure-washed, the borders are being tidied and prepared for new planting, and the lawns are being cut. All of these efforts are in readiness for a truly delightful and inspiring spring and summer season.

Thank you for taking the time to read this edition of our newsletter. We truly value your continued interest and support. As we move further into the season, we hope the weeks ahead bring a sense of renewal, positivity, and opportunity.

We look forward to sharing further updates and insights with you in our next issue. In the meantime, we wish you a pleasant and productive season ahead.

Kindest Wishes,

The Woodbine Manor Team
