๐ Welcome to our September Newsletter! ๐
What a wonderful September we have enjoyed here at Woodbine Manor! As we say goodbye to summer and welcome the beginning of autumn, it is the perfect opportunity to reflect on another busy month filled with special moments, happy memories and plenty of smiles.
One of the highlights of September was undoubtedly our End of Summer Garden Party. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the occasion so memorable. It was wonderful to see so many of our residents surrounded by family, friends and familiar faces, all enjoying fantastic entertainment, delicious food and, most importantly, each otherโs company. The smiles, laughter and wonderful atmosphere throughout the day made it a truly special event. ๐
Throughout September, our residents have also enjoyed a varied programme of activities, entertainment and opportunities to spend time together. Whether taking part in one of our regular clubs, enjoying music and entertainment, getting creative or simply sharing a cup of tea and a chat, it is often these everyday moments that create some of our happiest memories.
As autumn arrives, we are already looking forward to everything the coming months will bring, with plenty more activities, entertainment and special occasions planned.
September has certainly been another month to remember at Woodbine Manor, and we hope you enjoy looking back with us at some of our favourite highlights. ๐๐

๐ What a Fun Month September Has Been! ๐
September has certainly been a month full of wonderful moments, entertainment and happy memories here at Woodbine Manor!
Our End of Summer Garden Party was undoubtedly one of the highlights and has to be one of our favourite parties to date. It was fantastic to welcome so many families and friends to celebrate alongside our residents and Woodbine Manor team. There was such a lovely atmosphere throughout the day, with plenty of smiles, laughter, delicious food and, of course, some brilliant live entertainment. ๐
A very special thank you must go to our wonderful performers who helped make the Garden Party such a success. Jonathan treated us to a fantastic acoustic guitar and ukulele performance, creating a real foot-tapping atmosphere with plenty of familiar favourites for everyone to sing along to. ๐ธ His performance certainly brought lots of smiles and had residents, families and staff joining in!
We were also delighted to welcome the incredibly talented Chloe Wren, whose beautiful vocal performance was the perfect addition to our celebrations. ๐ค๐ถ A huge thank you to both Jonathan and Chloe for sharing their talents with us and helping to make the day so memorable for everyone.
The fun didnโt stop there! September also saw our residents refreshing their wardrobes ready for autumn and winter with another much-loved visit from the Gemini Mobile Fashion Shop. ๐ Residents enjoyed browsing the new seasonal collection, choosing their own outfits and accessories, and enjoying the independence and pleasure that comes from a little retail therapy!
Throughout the month we have also welcomed more fantastic musicians and singers through our doors, alongside our regular programme of activities, clubs and social opportunities.

๐ Whatโs Happening in October ๐
October is set to be another busy and exciting month here at Woodbine Manor, with plenty for our residents to enjoy as we embrace the colours, sights and sounds of autumn. ๐
Weโll be welcoming a rather prickly little visitor when Graham from the local hedgehog rescue centre returns to see us, along with one of his magnificent hedgehog friends! ๐ฆ Grahamโs visits are always a real treat, giving our residents the opportunity to get up close, learn more about these wonderful little animals and enjoy a truly memorable experience.
Music and entertainment will continue to play a big part in life at Woodbine Manor throughout October. We have some fantastic performers joining us, including Jamie, who will be bringing us a wonderful selection of much-loved songs, and Shay, returning with his popular Country & Western performance.
Weโre also very excited to welcome back Tony and his magical puppets and magic show! ๐ฉโจ Tonyโs visits always bring plenty of laughter, surprises and smiles, and weโre sure our residents will once again thoroughly enjoy his entertaining performance.
Alongside our visiting entertainers, our Activities Team will be keeping everyone busy with our regular programme of clubs, games, music, movement, baking, crafts and plenty of opportunities to socialise and have fun together.
And, of course, we couldnโt have October without a little Halloween fun! ๐ป๐ As the end of the month approaches, Woodbine Manor will be getting suitably spooky with Halloween arts and crafts, themed activities and plenty of frightfully good fun with Claire!
With so much planned, weโre looking forward to another wonderful month filled with laughter, friendship, entertainment and new memories here at Woodbine Manor. ๐งก๐

๐ You Asked, We Delivered ๐
At Woodbine Manor, feedback from our residents and families is incredibly important to us. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we value the suggestions that help us make everyday life within our home even better.
This month, our Activities Calendar has been given a fresh new look! Some of our residents and families told us that the print on our previous calendar was a little too small and could sometimes be difficult to read. We listened to your feedback and have made some positive changes.
Our new Activities Calendar is now bigger, brighter and more colourful, with clearer, larger print and visual pictures to help make it easier to read, understand and enjoy. We hope the new design will make it simpler for residents to see what activities and entertainment are coming up and encourage even more conversations and excitement about the month ahead. ๐
We are really pleased with its fresh new look, but most importantly, we would love to hear what you think! As always, your comments, ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated and help us continue to make meaningful and positive improvements here at Woodbine Manor. ๐
๐ Home Improvements ๐
We are always looking for ways to enhance the environment here at Woodbine Manor, ensuring our home continues to feel welcoming, comfortable and, most importantly, homely for our residents.
Weโre very proud to share that another two bedrooms have recently been beautifully refurbished and finished to a high standard. From fresh dรฉcor to carefully chosen, luxurious soft furnishings, each room has been designed to create a warm, comfortable and inviting space that our residents can truly call their own. ๐ก๐
Our improvements will continue throughout October, with work beginning on Monday 12th October to update and refresh our garden pond. ๐ฟ Our outside spaces are enjoyed throughout the year, whether residents are spending time in the garden or simply enjoying the view from inside, so weโre looking forward to giving this much-loved area a little extra care and attention.
Our more beady-eyed friends of Woodbine Manor may also have noticed that weโve sprung a little leak in the corridor adjacent to the dining room-and yes, not for the first time, but hopefully the last! ๐ Weโre pleased to say that the source of the problem has now been identified and the necessary repairs are being arranged. As always, we will work closely with everyone involved to ensure that any work is carried out safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to our residents and the day-to-day life of the home.
Weโre incredibly proud of the continued improvements being made throughout Woodbine Manor and look forward to sharing more updates-and, of course, the finished results-with you soon. ๐ฟโจ

As we bring another busy month to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all our residents, families, friends and wonderful Woodbine Manor team for your continued support.
September has given us so many special moments to look back on, and as we step into October, we have plenty more to look forward to. From visiting entertainers and seasonal activities to exciting improvements around our home, we remain committed to making Woodbine Manor a warm, welcoming and happy place for our residents to call home.
As always, we greatly value your feedback, suggestions and involvement. Our door is always open, so please never hesitate to get in touch, share your ideas or simply stop by for a chat and a cup of tea. ๐
We hope you enjoy the month ahead and look forward to sharing many more happy moments and memories with you throughout October.
Warmest wishes,
The Woodbine Manor Team
